Rules

  • Lawn Mower Rental Rules and Responsibilities
  • Identification and Agreement
  • A valid government-issued photo ID is required before renting the lawn mower. The renter must review and agree to all rules and confirm they understand safe operation of the equipment. By accepting the rental, the renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment during the rental period.
  • Equipment Inspection
  • The mower is inspected, cleaned, and tested before each rental. The renter must inspect the mower at pickup and report any damage, leaks, missing parts, or unusual sounds immediately. Once the mower leaves the property, it is considered accepted in good working condition unless issues were documented beforehand.
  • Permitted Use
  • The mower is intended only for normal residential lawn mowing. It must not be used to cut brush, thick weeds, branches, rocks, gravel, dirt, or construction debris. Improper use may damage the mower and create safety hazards.
  • Operator Responsibility
  • Only adults who understand basic lawn mower operation may use the equipment. Children or untrained individuals must not operate the mower. The renter is responsible for ensuring anyone using the mower follows these rules.
  • Required Safety Gear
  • Closed-toe shoes are required when operating the mower. Long pants, gloves, and eye protection are strongly recommended. Never operate the mower barefoot, in sandals, or while wearing loose clothing that may get caught in moving parts.
  • Area Preparation
  • Before mowing, the renter must inspect the yard and remove rocks, sticks, toys, tools, wires, metal objects, or other debris that could damage the mower or become dangerous projectiles.
  • Safe Operation
  • Operate the mower at a normal walking pace. Do not run while pushing the mower. Maintain full control of the handle at all times and keep both hands on the handle while the blade is engaged.
  • Slope and Terrain Safety
  • Do not use the mower on steep slopes, unstable ground, wet grass, mud, or gravel surfaces. These conditions increase the risk of slipping, tipping, or losing control of the equipment.
  • Blade Safety
  • The mower blade spins at very high speed and can cause serious injury. Never place hands or feet under the mower deck while the engine is running. Turn off the engine and wait until the blade stops completely before clearing grass buildup or checking the underside.
  • Fuel Use
  • Only use the proper gasoline recommended for the mower. Never add fuel while the engine is running or hot. Refuel outdoors and wipe any spilled gasoline immediately.
  • Engine and Controls
  • Do not modify or bypass any safety switches, guards, or controls. These features are designed to protect the operator and others nearby.
  • Weather Conditions
  • The mower must not be used during heavy rain, thunderstorms, or extremely wet conditions. Wet grass increases slipping risk and may damage the mower engine.
  • Transporting the Mower
  • The renter is responsible for safely transporting the mower. The mower must be secured properly in a vehicle or trailer to prevent tipping, leaking fuel, or damage during transport.
  • Storage During Rental
  • When not in use, the mower should be stored in a dry, covered, and secure location such as a garage or shed. Do not leave the mower exposed to rain or overnight in unsecured areas.
  • Cleaning Requirements
  • Before returning the mower, the renter should remove heavy grass buildup, mud, or debris. A cleaning fee may apply if the mower is returned excessively dirty.
  • Return Time
  • The mower must be returned at the agreed time and date. Late returns may result in additional rental charges based on the daily rental rate.
  • Damage Responsibility
  • The renter is responsible for any damage that occurs during the rental period, including bent blades, damaged wheels, engine problems caused by misuse, or broken components.
  • Loss or Theft
  • If the mower is lost, stolen, or not returned, the renter is responsible for the full replacement value of the equipment.
  • Unauthorized Repairs
  • Renters must not attempt to repair, adjust, or disassemble the mower. If a problem occurs, stop using the equipment immediately and contact the owner.
  • Emergency Situations
  • If the mower begins smoking, leaking fuel, vibrating excessively, or making unusual noises, turn it off immediately and notify the owner.
  • Injury and Liability
  • The renter assumes full responsibility for any injuries, accidents, or property damage resulting from the use of the mower during the rental period.
  • Final Agreement
  • By renting the lawn mower, the renter confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to follow all rental conditions and safety rules.
